FAIRFAX, VA —The Gingrich Foundation has made a charitable gift to The City of Fairfax Band Association.
The City of Fairfax Band consists of over 120 volunteer musicians from the greater Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. Recognized for excellence, the City of Fairfax Band has become one of Northern Virginia’s best-known performing ensembles.
“The members and board of directors of the City of Fairfax Band Association deeply appreciate the continued support of The Gingrich Foundation,” said Robert Pouliot, Conductor of the Fairfax Band. “At a time when many arts organizations are experiencing cutbacks or stagnation in their development, The Gingrich Foundation’s sponsorship of our Christmas program and the added support of the underwriting of this year’s Young Artist Scholarship allow us to be one of the few organizations that can look to a bright future of organizational growth. We are truly thankful for the Foundation’s support.”
“The City of Fairfax Band enriches and entertains our community with exceptional musical performances throughout the year,” said Callista Gingrich, President of the Gingrich Foundation. “Newt and I are honored to support and be a part of this fine organization.”
Callista Gingrich is the President of the Gingrich Foundation and President of Gingrich Productions in Washington, D.C. She plays French horn with the City of Fairfax Band. Speaker Newt Gingrich is the General Chairman of American Solutions for Winning the Future, Chairman of the Gingrich Group, and Founder of the Center for Health Transformation in Washington, D.C. and Atlanta, Georgia.
