The tragedy last month in Aurora, Colorado touched each of us profoundly. The senseless violence there took the lives of 12 people and injured more than 50 others. Confronting such a horrific event, many Americans are searching for a way they can help. This month, the Gingrich Foundation Charity of the Month is the Colorado Organization for Victim Assistance (COVA), to which the Aurora Police Department has directed donations to benefit victims of the shooting.
COVA was founded in 1982 to assist victims of crime, along with their families and communities. In addition to offering a variety of public education programs on the topic of victim’s assistance, COVA maintains a Crime Victim Emergency Fund and a crisis response team for crime victims in need. With its decades of experience helping those affected by violent crimes, COVA will work to make sure the victims of the Aurora massacre get the support they need.
Our thoughts and prayers continue to be with the victims of the events in Colorado and their families.
Please join us in supporting those touched by the tragedy through the Colorado Organization for Victim Assistance.
You can donate by mailing a check to 90 Galapago Street, Denver CO, 80223, with “Aurora Tragedy” in the memo line, or online at this website.
