At the time of our founding, no other nation had adopted the radical ideals of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. No other nation had declared, “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights” -- rights that no king or government could take away. In A City Upon a Hill, we see that throughout our history, the United States has risen to great challenges -- sometimes out of necessity but often out of the determination to create a better future.
