The devastation that Hurricane Harvey has brought upon the people of coastal Texas and Louisiana over the last week has been heartbreaking to see.
Cities such as Rockport, Houston, Port Arthur, and others have been devastated by winds and record flooding. An estimated 30,000 to 40,000 homes in Houston and the surrounding area have been destroyed. We are praying for the many thousands of families whose lives have been forever changed by this terrible storm.
As the rescue and recovery efforts continue, the Red Cross has been among the most experienced organizations providing aid and coordinating emergency response.
Please consider supporting the Red Cross Hurricane Harvey relief efforts, which have been providing critical supplies and support to those in need along the Gulf Coast.
The American Red Cross has been one of our country’s most important charitable organizations for the last 136 years. Its expertise at disaster relief is unparalleled, responding to nearly 64,000 disasters each year.
Please join us this month in assisting those affected by Hurricane Harvey through the American Red Cross, and please continue to keep all those in the Gulf Coast region in your thoughts and prayers.
